Hugh McPherson is the Managing Director of Broad Reach Employee Relations.
After commencing his career in internal Employee Relations roles, Hugh made the move to consulting in 2004. Initially working with a national advisory firm, Hugh gained experience across a variety of industries, providing a significant grounding into the Employee Relations needs of employers of all sizes.
In 2009, Hugh founded Broad Reach Employee Relations and has worked with clients on their requirements around compliance, performance and managing risk. In response to the needs of businesses based in Australia and abroad, Hugh included speaking at conferences and delivering training around the APAC region to the firm’s service offering. Hugh has presented on a variety of topics, including preventing and responding to employee harassment, building consistency in HR policies and procedures across multiple countries and approaching enterprise bargaining (managers and employees).
Since 2012, Hugh has delivered HRSingapore’s HRLaw Australia workshops, which occur 2 to 3 times each year.
In response to client needs, suitably qualified advisors will often work for Broad Reach Employee Relations on a project or retainer basis.
